What a Hellenistic birth chart shows

The Hellenistic birth chart applies the classical framework to the natal chart: seven traditional planets, Whole Sign houses, essential dignities (domicile, exaltation, detriment, fall), and chart sect (whether the Sun is above or below the horizon). The triplicity rulers are assessed by angular position, dignity, and synodic phase, following Valens' Book II.2.

The Lots section covers Fortune and Daimon with their sign rulers, a Fortune/Daimon Axis card showing the three-way ruler interchange (Valens II.22), the Lot of Exaltation with its angular check, and the Place of Accomplishment (the 11th sign from Fortune). Valens II.20 reads the Place of Accomplishment as the area where the native's goals are realized, with planet-by-planet delineations for planets occupying that sign.

The Occupation section reads Daimon's ruler as the primary activity indicator and Fortune's ruler as the material return contributor, following the procedure Valens outlines in II.19 and IV.4. A Fortune/Daimon majority count shows which domain (bodily and material, or intellectual and expressive) carries more planetary support.

Planetary Conditions shows each classical planet's synodic phase (heliacal rising, morning star, evening star, combust, stations), sect placement, and aspect testimonies. Natal aspects use whole-sign orbs with overcoming notation and reception checks. The Natal Basis section gives a tier verdict (noble, average, or base) with the specific conditions that produce it.
