How the planetary aspect finder works

This tool finds aspects between planets moving through the sky, not relative to any natal chart. It is useful for mundane astrology, tracking major alignments, and understanding the current sky climate for everyone.

Select one or both planets and choose an aspect type. Leaving a selector unset searches across all planets or aspects in that group. The search returns all windows when the two planets are within orb, along with the date of exact aspect.

Slow planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) produce long windows that can last months or years, especially when retrograde motion causes multiple passes. Fast planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars) produce short windows lasting hours to a few days.
